What’s your story, how did you get here as a creative?

I’m from the Dominican Republic, but I was raised in NYC. I like to crochet, I’m an amateur artist and photographer. I’m also a pianist and I’ve recently got into writing.

What’s your creative mission as a designer, and for the NYC Rambler Summer Program?

My creative mission as a designer would be to bring sustainability and body diversity at the forefront of my work. We live in a world where sustainability should be the number one priority, and I want to make sure that it is.

I especially want to create colourful “whimsical” men’s wear. As it now, it definitely lacks a lot of colour and whimsy and I find that to be frankly, unacceptable. For this summer program, I’m just going with the flow, practicing my creative muscles.
