My name is Victoria, but you can call me V.
What’s your story, how did you get here as a creative?
I grew up drawing (on paper and on my phone) as a creative outlet, for me to exercise my imagination. Although I’ve since strayed from drawing, I’ve found myself wanting to try out different artistic activities to replicate the joy drawing once gave me.
The latest crafts I’ve done are creating fabric patches out of a pair of pants I no longer wear, and painting designs on them. I’ve also created pins by using only soda caps and safety pins.
As of recently I’ve wanted to dive into upcycling my own clothes, and I think that the design-making experience I will gain from Rambler Studios will aid in that process.
What’s your creative mission as a designer, and for the NYC Rambler Summer Program?
I seek to challenge my own thinking and learn to revise and edit so that I can view possible ideas from all angles and perspectives.

REASON TO JOIN RAMBLERS
I had noticed a lot of new small clothing brands popping up on social media, which inspired me to dive into the fashion design scene. What better way to do just that than applying for a program that explores it!
