UZYIAH 〜

My name is Uzyiah,
and my brand is
called
JAM

My name is Uzyiah Wise-Mcmillan and I was born and raised on Classon Avenue in Brooklyn, a place where creativity wasn’t an event, it was everyday life. From graffiti walls to street performances, I grew up surrounded by expression in all no matter what it was, and it shaped me.

Michael Jackson became my biggest inspiration, not just for his music, but for how he honored what came before him and transformed it into something new. That taught me something important: art is evolution.

Today, I carry that lesson through my love of Y2K style. Y2K fashion isn’t just nostalgia—it’s freedom. A rejection of limits. Every piece I create builds on that energy: honoring the past, pushing boundaries, and expressing who I am without holding back.

What are your intentions in joining the Rambler design program?
My intentions as an artist is to create work that feels free, expressive, and real. I want my art to be an honest reflection of who I am. Bold when it feels right, and only create it when it is always true.

I’m interested in capturing moments, stories, and feelings. Along the way, I hope to keep growing, learning new techniques, exploring different methods, and discovering more about my own creative voice. For me, it’s about taking risks, and making work that feels alive.

STYLE
My inspirations when it comes to my style is Britney Spears
